BLYTHEWOOD — Blythewood families looking to dress up, gather candy, and celebrate the season will have multiple opportunities close to home as Halloween approaches, with two free community events scheduled to kick off the weekend.
The celebrations begin Thursday, Oct. 29, with the Town of Blythewood’s Trunk or Treat at Doko Meadows Park, located at 171 Langford Road. From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., children and parents are invited to wear their best costumes and stroll through rows of decorated vehicle trunks to collect free treats in a safe, family-friendly setting. More information is available at townofblythewoodsc.gov or by calling 803-754-0501.
The fall fun continues Friday, Oct. 30, when Sandy Level Baptist Church hosts its Fall Festival from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 408 Blythewood Road.
The annual celebration is open to the public and will feature a wide array of activities, including hayrides, an inflatable bounce house, crafts, games, a classic cake walk, and free food.
Children attending the church’s festival are encouraged to wear their costumes and bring trick-or-treat bags along to explore the church’s trunk-or-treat displays and compete for prizes.
